Q What does refurbished mean?
A The products available have all previously been used in offices and other locations around the UK by various organisations. All products are run through our site production line and are thoroughly checked, tested, cleaned and repackaged.
Q So what do the machines look like?
A All machines are graded on condition relative to marks and scratches on the casings. We only provide Best grade conditioned units to the public, and after cleaning these units will show minimal signs of wear and tear
Q What is the difference in the machines on offer?
A The main difference is in the speed of the machine. The higher the processor speed then the faster the unit can process instructions. It should be remembered that tasks like surfing the web and word processing are relatively simple and are not generally affected by the speed of the processor. If you wish to do tasks like photo/video editing then whilst it can be done on all machines you will notice an improvement in performance in the faster machines.
Q Can I play games on these systems?
A Gaming is one of the most demanding tasks that a PC can do so if you are looking to play new releases then we would recommend that you choose a new computer.
Q What software is included with the Ubuntu systems?
A The software that is included with all of the units is:

A OpenOffice has programs included on it which allow you to do word processing, Spreadsheet software and a drawing tool application.

Q How much does it cost to call the 0845 number?
A 0845 numbers are charged at local rate, which is 3.4p at peak time, 1.7p evening & 0.6p on weekends. Calls will cost more from a mobile depending upon your network.
Q How long does delivery take?
A We work toward a 5 day delivery time from date of order being processed but would hope to have the unit with you before this

Q What if I have problems setting up the PC?
A All PC’s come with a quick start guide for connecting all of the leads together. If you are still having problems then please call our Support line on 0845-026-8293
Q What warranty and support do I get?
A As standard you get 30 day return to base warranty for the hardware and 30 day telephone software support. This means that if your machine develops a hardware fault within this time frame, you need to return the unit to us for verifying that the item is not functioning due to a hardware fault(once verified we will exchange or refund the item).
Q Can this be extended?
A You get an option to extend your software support only beyond the 30days when purchasing. You will also be contacted when the 30 days is near expiry to see if you would like to upgrade the support then.
Q What times is the support open to me?
A The support lines are open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm and Saturday 9am-4pm. Outside of these times you will be given the option to leave you details and we will respond by the morning of the next working day

A. If you don’t have a printer, just make a note of the barcode number and the amount payable that appears on your screen and ask the retailer to key this in manually instead of scanning the barcode. |

A. You can request for the barcode to be re-sent to you by going back to the site where you have made your purchase |

Q. I’ve lost my barcode – am I at risk?
A. Your barcode contains no personal details about you – only your transaction. If someone finds your barcode, all they can do is pay for your purchase. |
